ID Essence work with young adults aged 18-25 in women’s prisons and after prison. We exist to provide as many young women+ as possible with the skills, self-belief and support they need to make positive changes and live life free from prison.
Borne out of Kahaila church in East London in 2012, and now the young adults project of Imago Dei , our dedicated team of ID Essence Workers deliver long-term support through non-formal education programmes, resettlement support and pastoral mentoring in both prison and community settings.
As a project and a team, we are also passionate about fighting for social justice in the UK because we see every day the very clear links between social injustices and crime. Take a look at our social justice resources page to find out more.
